If you go with the suggestion of your real estate agent, they will need to disclose any financial interest that they may have in you going with the company suggested by them. This will tell you whether or not they have a financial tie or interest to any person involved in your transaction. Is your quote inclusive of all aspects of my title search and guaranteed? This will give you an idea of whether there’s a conditionality to payment and timing, as well as if you have to pay more for certain services. Do you allow me to review and select the kind of title insurance and coverage that I obtain? This is a big question because there are several ways that you can hold title and your title company will let you know what the best way is for your particular need or situation.
